Agreed, but for those of us who only have one car... I can't afford to wait the week for the additional, possibly needed o-rings to arrive at the Dealership.

Anyways, I ordered up those two set of o-rings. Hopefully it was worthwhile.

I am not understanding what that additional o-ring is needed for after inspecting my own setup of this mod? seems like redundant sealing going on in the same spot.

I think it's more to provide the correct spacing of the injector in the rail than anything else. I suppose you could try and run without it, but I don't want to experiment with possible fuel leaks.

Understandable, but can you afford to be down after the fact when you install everything and it turns out you have a leak and you needed to replace the o-ring you didn't bother to do in the first place?

For me it was a do it all and do it only once job. I think it boils down to personal preference, but at least you've got something to think about!

Got my additional o-rings today. Diagrammed them out per n2x4's original picture and with the 2 different rings I got. Will hopefully be installing them on Thursday...

Just an FYI for future searchers.

If you send your injectors to Whichhunter for cleaning/flow testing he will replace all the o-rings and pintle caps (if needed) - all included in the base price.

I had my red tops cleaned/flowed all pintle caps and orings replaced for $80.
I had unknown injectors, a couple broken caps, and I had a hard time finding PN's for the orings (thanks for the info in this thread!) - fingured I'd kill a flock with one stone. Now within 1% between all injectors.

BTW - I'll be going 440's too on the turbo - so thanks for the pic's!

Good pic! I'll add it to the first post if you don't mind. Just as what's probably a very obvious note, the big fat seal 16608AA020 doesn't actually go on the injector, it goes on the bottom of the fuel rail between it and the intake mainifold.

Sure go ahead -- assuming it's all correct ;)

Yup, but wanted to show the relative placement of it and didn't have a spare rail laying around.

hello guy, i have also the 444cc jdm legacy injector from the same guy as you.

On ebay its say 444cc but it must be 440cc

Wathever now i have read this tread, and i wonder if changing for a fuel n/a rail will work out good

it's look like a way cheaper, so i wonder why you guy are going that route, any reason why you guy want to keep the ej22t fuel rail and buying a lot of ring for these injector?

Image

so if i am correct i need 4 of these ring 2 kind of ring right?

fuel injector seal 16608aa202 and injector spacer 16696aa000

or do i have on the stock injector the missing seal and ring?

It looks like you need injector o-ring 16696AA000. If you want to do it right, you should get all NEW seals, but to be honest, you could probably re-use them. I did and everything was fine. I just recently took mine to get cleaned and flow tested though. He replaced all of the seals with brand new ones and the injectors cleaned up VERY nicely. Got them back the same day, as well.

If you change out the fuel rails, you will also need to replace a total of 8 seals, including 16608aa202, so this way really doesn't save you as much money as you would think.

Yazmo--is that a picture of your 440 injector in your post?

If so, yours came with new rings on them provided by the seller. Got mine from the same seller and they had those same new rings. You still need to get 16696AA000 and 16608AA020 for each injector, then they will go right into ej22t rails.

Also, the correct part number is 16608AA020 not 202, probably a typo.

thx klenkid yes those have the news ring so i may go also that route afterall

why ppl choose to change and not using na fuel rail?
anyone had bad experience with na fuel rail?

I think it's just that there's not much of a point in changing fuel rails if the ones that you have work for the injectors you have.

indeed playing with o-ring and spacer, seal etc...

is someone here try this for a long period of time?

I've had mine in for about 1.5 years. Everything works great.

Put mine in just need 4 of the 000 seals. Thats all very easy to change the injectors. Worked out well for me!

What does that mean? The car already has the rails so basically if you get the 440cc rails you can just replace the injectors easily vs having to replace the whole rails with N/A rails so you can run larger CC. Regardless the 440CC is just fine for stage 2 revtronix!!

well I mean considering you had to spend that $164 or whatever it was, plus the cost of injectors, wouldnt it be cheaper just to get N/A rails? I haven't really got into my car enough to get bigger injectors yet so sorry if that was a stupid question.

lol all you need is those 440cc injectors for 125 shipped and $20 for 4 of the rubber spacers and thats it they just drop in. Takes less then a hour.

Oh I see, I automatically assumed that price list was for everything needed to make the injectors work on our rails. my bad!

It's still more expensive to install the injectors than I would have imagined.

Interestingly there are Nissan Injector O-ring kits on ebay that contain a lot of the required orings. Might be able to save some money if you were to pick them up that way.

Yea, thats what I was trying to get at. It seemed more expensive to do it this way, but it still is a great thread for those who wanna keep their turbo rails.

To the op the gray tops are not stock 440 according to other resourses(rslc, sl-I) the grays are 380cc injectors 440s are yellow, unless those are modded to 440.

^ To you. I just had my gray tops, that were ripped out of a JDM WRX by me, flow tested and they ARE 440cc injectors. That's a stupid rumor that someone who was misinformed spread around around.

Mine are completely stock and I can post up flow test results for you and everyone on those other sites if need be.
