Bad turbo cause engine damage?

Post by oldbugeye »

Something got in my intake and chewed up the cold side of the turbo blades. Should I start looking into replacing internal motor parts?

That's not to bad... iv definitely seen worse. I only see the one "big" piece missing on the blade at the 7 o clock, that could have messed up your cylinder walls. As long as you caught that in time your probably fine. Did it make a lot of noise? Also depends on what was stuck in there and is now in your engine. Change your oil and report back what you find.
