So I have these version 2 sti heads and I'm trying to figure out how these valve adjuster shim over buckets work. They look to be hydraulic but there isn't any adjustment screw or anything like that. How do they work? How do I adjust them?

There is no adjustment on hydraulic lifters. "Hydraulic Lash Adjuster" or HLA means it takes care of that all on it's own.
Shim over bucket is a completely different thing, which you do not have.

You sir are a master. Thank you for all your wealth of knowledge. You sir are the man. This is great news for me. Makes this whole process so much easier. Standard 2.0 valves will work in the heads correct? Standard turbo valves. I.e. 205, 255 valves. GSC makes a good valve.

I've never heard of using EJ205/255/257 valves in EJ20G heads. I have no idea if they would work. Maybe someone else has tried it?

I'll check the valves tomorrow. See what the measure up to. And get back to you.
