Advertised swaybar rates are not "closest bolt matches size." I always thought a 20mm rear swaybar from whitleline was actually an 18-20mm adjustable swaybar. The furthest out hole being the 18 mm, and the closest inward hole towards the swaybar bushings making it the advertised size of 20mm.
Turns out that isn't correct at all. Whiteline's advertised size is actually the center of the adjustments. So a 3 hole adjustable 20mm swaybar is actually a 19-21mm swaybar with the middle hole being the 20mm advertised rate.
A 2-hole adjustable swaybar (say the 22mm front swaybar) doesn't have a hole for the advertised rate. It is actually a 21.5 and a 22.5 sized swaybar for the adjustment points, with the advertised size being right in the middle.
There is a slightly different logic for a 4 point adjustable swaybar, but I don't know if subaru has any of those so not sure if it matters.
Here is a video I found.

Re: Understanding whiteline adjustable swaybar sizing
Weird. I wasn't sure which hole was which stiffness so I just stuck it in one and rolled with it. Lol that's my style. Jk

Good info! I did not know that either. I'll add this to the sticky thread.
