Do you have a direct fit replacement KONI recommendation, Jamal? Just replacement struts, is what I mean.

Well they're inserts, so you have to cut apart the stock struts to use them. Or find a cheap set of used struts from a GC so you can put them together beforehand, which you might have to do anyway. The only application they list these days is for the 98-01 RS and the older legacy specific inserts are discontinued. I'm not completely sure they'll fit in the stock legacy struts but it's pretty likely.

As far as complete strut replacement goes there's the AGX and uh, that's about it for performance applications. Nothing from tokico or bilstein or anything.

So there isn't a ton out there these days which does make a cheap set of coilovers tempting. However, if you are willing to do a little more work you'll get a better suspension setup.

I'm not sure whiteline still makes the control springs so the eibach prokit would probably be the best option.

Thats a good price for those, but a $40 ebay model will have no difference in performance.

Any of the ones that bend back towards the firewal should fit a tmic.

If you hit your bumper at an angle against something, even lightly, those carbon fiber ones can snap. They're only slightly thicker than a straw.

Are they at least very stiff before they break? I didn't realize those were actual CF, I thought they were regular steel ones wrapped in CF-look wrap. Good to know.

I had a set of cheap ones on my old car. Couldn't decide if they made a difference or not. I suppose I could try it on the new car since I have a stiffer setup and more bushings once the summer tires go back on.

One thing that I do hear great things about are the fender braces.

I think how much the bracing helps depends on what your suspension & tire setup is, as well as what other bracing you have.

I recall noticing a small difference in the front brace, the rear brace not so much (for a sedan), and the fender braces did help things as well. However, it's been quite some time since I've done all those, so my memory is a little fuzzy on how the car felt prior.

I took off my strut tower bar for a week, and my front end felt very vague going hard around corners I was familiar with. Also there was more wheel squeal than I remember.

I have all upgraded bushings in the front, new tie rod ends and ball joints, and good suspension, wrx wagon swaybar up front, yet I felt a clear difference with the bar.

I am rocking this OEM "SPT" (Subaru performance tuning) steel one on Josh's recommendation, and it fits both AWIC's and the 06-07 style WRX Tmic (and presumably others)

Might be cheaper at the dealer - I believe I got mine for 60 + tax, though it might have been on sale
