My friend had a 94 legacy, it had a recent acciendent, the fenders gone, endlink got cut in half, and control arms bent.. just recenlty bought a control arm and endlink from a 95 outback.. but now I cant put in on there..

A '95 Outback should use the same control arm, but the rear bushing is different to accommodate the factory 'lift'. It should still bolt in though.

I would look for signs that the crossmember or the rear bushing mounts are out of shape. Maybe the crossmember is out of place?

When you try and bolt up the new control arm, where does it seem like it has issues fitting?

You mean the front mount on the engine crossmember? How does the other side of the crossmember look, does it look bent? If you mount the front part of the control arm first, how does the rear line up?

I don't recall a big wrinkle like that in the crossmember. I agree....compare it to the other side.

Yes, you can take it off without a lift. Place jackstands in the usual locations, and then place the jack under the motor to hold it up while swapping the crossmembers.
