'94 Legacy Suspension Fitment

Post by JohnF »

I have read through the suspension compilation sticky and have several questions.

I am currently replacing/upgrading the suspension on my '94 Turbo Sedan with following planned set-up:

1. AGX Struts spec'ed for '94 Legacy

2. 2006 STI springs

3. 2006 STI spring seats and perches

4. '91 rear strut mounts

5. '94 front strut mounts

First question, will this setup work?

The compilation states which springs will work, but it does not clearly spell out spring/strut combinations will work

Second, do I use spring seat sand perches that match the springs or the struts?

Third, ride height. I have read that using 04+ STI springs will drop the ride height about an inch. Is this true?

Fourth, am I missing anything else in my planned setup?

Any help would be great!

It seems like you've gathered most of the information you need to make a good setup suspension wise. AGXs are pretty cool.

I think the setup will work. The reason why I say think (and I have NOT looked at the suspension sticky) is because I don't know the diameter of the bottom of the 1994 Legacy Turbo springs and the diameter of the 04-07 Impreza STI springs. Everything else you listed above seems legitimate.

I however can confirm that STI springs will lower your car from stock ride height. I have 2004 sti struts and springs on my SS. You can look thru my build thread and see how it sits.

Yeah, just double check with the suspension sticky to be sure.
