So I have an L sedan and would like to lower it slightly using new kyb gr2 GC struts and aftermarket GD springs(there seems to be way more GD options out there.) Am I mistaken in thinking that will bolt right up? From what I can gather, the GD springs will fit fine in GC struts which will bolt directly into our cars with no fabrication.
So with that being said, what advice/input do you guys have as far as springs go? I'm not tracking the car. I use it mainly for driving on dirt roads and going snowboarding. I don't want to dump the car but would like a tasteful amount of drop without sacrificing functionality.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

I can't comment on the GD spring fitment to the GC struts, but lowering the car something in the range of 1" - 1.5" is a decent range that will give you a better look, but doesn't take away too much functionality.

Thanks josh! Any comment on a good but reasonably priced spring upgrade?

I honestly don't know what is out there any more....I haven't looked at springs in over 10 years. Whiteline & Eibach were the two main ones for the Legacy. I'm not sure what's out there now for the GC chassis.

Re: New struts and springs on a 93 L
You can still get eibach springs for the GC. They are pretty good and don't lower excessively, and will work right with those struts for sure. I think that using GD springs on the GC struts might result in a different than desired ride height.
One of my distributors has a few sets of springs if you need a place to get them. Only extra thing you might need are the front upper spring perches. I don't remember if they are a different diameter or not. Rears will work with your tops.
