Just wanted comments on the choice I'm faced with my Legacy turbo is stock and unmodified it has 90k and on original shockers springs. I really enjoy driving the car in England.
One of the rear has a bad leak so before I re tax and insure for the summer I have choice FR & Rr KYB shockers use the original Legacy springs or hunt down a set of 2002/03 Impreza struts and springs - the car would be a bit lower.
You comment's suggestions welcomed
1992 Legacy Turbo replacing struts with KYB or Impreza?

Re: 1992 Legacy Turbo replacing struts with KYB or Impreza?
I'm running KYBs with WRX struts from 02-03 in my '91, I would imagine Impreza springs would be slightly higher than my setup, and even with mine as "low" as it is I have never had a problem with it. I'm sure clearance/performance-wise the Impreza strut/spring setup would work great!
At the end of the day, I would recommend getting whatever you can new. KYBs are great and inexpensive.

Kyb agx's. Better then the rest
Re: 1992 Legacy Turbo replacing struts with KYB or Impreza?
Yeah, I've been very happy with the KYB struts....both the non-adjustable GR-2's and adjustable AGX's. They are tad stiffer than stock damper rates.
The thing I'll caution you about using Impreza struts is depending on the set you find they may have a lot of miles on them and may not be as good as a new set of KYB struts. So depending on what you can find in terms of mileage for used Impreza struts that would help make the decision for me.

Legacy 777 thats good advice, in the UK the cost of KYB is £240 -or $355 so I was looking around for a set of good used shockers.
For the present time I'm getting the Legacy in order to re-tax and get it up running after 5 months in store.

If you can find any used KYB's or lower mile used struts that'd probably be the way to go.

So are you planning to use wagon springs on a sedan?

Legacy777 had an option to use the wagon springs but decided against.
Update, Legacy back on the road with new KYB shockers and original springs/mount. Ride quality restored as rears were well worn/leaking.
