interchange REAR struts right and left?

Post by wtdash »

Hi,
I need to replace my rear struts and have an extra set of '97 OB struts I was going to install on my '96 Legacy.

Turns out I have TWO right-rear struts.

Besides the brake line bracket, What other issues would preclude me from installing one of the RIGHT side struts on the LEFT?

Thanks

Look closely at the lower mount and how it's aligned with the strut. It's not aligned right down the center.
