So I recently bought a GM impreza rally car and it came with wrx front brakes on it. I had a rallycross coming up the next weekend and my rally tires are on 91 turbo legacy wheels and I had no time to run up to Fort Collins and get my set of turbo legacy brakes and swap them on it. I had heard from a couple threads on here that you could grid down the calipers to get the wheels to fit over the brakes, but never any proof. So I decided to try it for myself.
Everything was done on car. So I gridded down both of the calipers and took off a good amount of metal(maybe 30% on the outside and on the cooling ridges and just kept test fitting the wheel untill it fit), threw some silver paint on the calipers and now the wheels fit and I have 2 rallycrosses on them with no problem. I was a little worried about caliper strength now but after few hard highway stops those were put to rest.
I tried to put a set of 94 turbo legacy wheels on and they DO NOT fit. They have a ridge between the spokes that would have required a lot more material to be taken off.
I will try to get some pictures up ASAP.

It was mostly on top, so no a spacer would not help.
Also, I have heard that there are differences between the 02 and 03-05 brakes, and I am not sure which ones I have. Either way, both will probably fit.
