BREMBO ==> Master Cylinder/Single Diaphragm Booster ?'s

Post by Florin1 »

So i installed Brembo's on the car about a month ago :twisted: . (see my build thread) And of course my pedal feels really soft and squishy. A few days ago i went to pull a part and grabbed a complete SDBB off a 95 impreza. My questions are:
Will i need to swap the master cylinder from the turbo to the impreza booster? Or should i not even worry about the two and look for an STI one? Or can i just use the impreza booster/m. cylinder and call it good? Thanks

The STI one, what? Master cylinder? It's the same size as the stock SS one, 1 1/16".

Florin, I'm 99% positive the hissing noise when you step on the brake pedal is the reason for your crappy brake pedal feel.

I've read nothing but good things about the SDBB, so I'm excited to see how it feels.

You don't need to swap your MC. The stock MC works fine with the SDBB. That's more or less what I'm running and the brake feel is phenominal with just the WRX 2-pots & legacy B4 rears.
