I kinda assumed he knew, but now that you mention it, he didn't mention anything about them did he :lol: I just assumed he wanted the 5x114 because they're cheaper.

Also I agree with everything skid said, I'm not a degreed engineer, but I will be in about 2 weeks :D

I know itis fine to redrill, it is actually illegal to do redrills on rims or rotors in RI though lol so don't get caught!!!

^ LOL. Have thought about why it's illegal? Did you read any of the previous posts? Let alone, look at the back of a 5x114 STi BBS wheel? They were manufactured with one bolt pattern in mind....

supposedly it ruins the structural integrity of the wheel. Even though these aluminum factory wheels are all cast so drilling a hole isn't really going to do much...it seems as though it is much more legit to do this on 4 lug wheels as you are not reusing any pre existing holes....seems shady and possibly off center to do it on a 5 lug

So what makes you say it's fine then? :lol:

I don't see why you'd be reusing holes on a 5 lug though, going 4-5 or 5-4 is pretty shady, but keeping with 5 he'd just be using the space in between bolt holes.
