Power Steering Go Away

My power steering system is on its way out on my 93ss. Has anyone removed this system entirely? How does the car drive without it?

i never removed every thing but i lost my powersteering and i liked it. it worked great in the winter so id say just do away with it its not that bad to steer

It may be ok while driving, but for parking or slow speeds, it's going to suck.

Thanks for the input. I can deal with slow speeds and parking lots. I need to start working out anyway hahaha.

yea u will get use to it quick when my family borowed my car after i lost al my powersteering it was funny they never asked to borow it again they hated it i loved it for the dirt gravel and snow but yea its a lil hard a slow speed but after a week you will be good it just gets easier lol

when i went back to powersteering i was oversteering for the first day lol turning way to sharp in other lanes lmao

im back to no power steering i havent looked at where its coming from but its was burning off the header are the heads everytime i stop it leave smoke lol. im probly gunna look at it later but i might just leave it for the winter.

well can pulling the lines and not having fluid go thru the rack damage the rack?

idk but i know i have no power steering fluid in my car for the past 2 week are longer and it hasnt seized up and my old 92l i had none in it for over 6 months never seized but i know my mother truck she had none for about a half day and it seized up on her you couldnt steer it.

i wish there was a no power steering option for our cars. just a steering rack would be great

yea the car handle great with out power steering i was driving my mothers truck lol and over steering im all ready not used to power steering again lol. i cant wait for snow i love it .
