Power steering pump rebuild kit

Post by FundamentalyConfused »

Does anyone know where I could get one for my 90?

I've seen rebuild kits for the 1st gen Impreza. Would that work on mine?

Thanks

Someone posted the part number for the turbo one a long while back. No idea if its the same for N/A. I've actually got it sitting in my garage unopened. If I was home I'd give you the part number off of it.

I found Josh's post here

http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24143

What I wanted to know is the rebuild kit that Iron monkey listed, 34419AA030, what all comes in that? Is it everything shown in the picture in the parts catalog?

There's also talk about the reservoir o-ring not being in that kit. Is that correct?

Are any of the hose connection o-rings not in that kit that I should replace too?

Thanks,

Daryl

I don't recall what was all included in the kit, but I think the parts are mainly the "soft" parts like o-rings, gasket, & seal. I don't recall if it came with the resevoir o-ring though and it doesn't come with any o-rings associated with the hoses.

I bought one a couple years back from the dealer. It was like $20 or so.

So I bought the kit, the reservoir o-ring and the high pressure line o-ring.

I cleaned up the body real good and put everything back in that I had, had no parts left over, and it seems as if it did the trick. So far there's no leaks that I can see and I didn't know it until after the fix how much quieter my engine is now.

Slowly and surely this car is being revived!

I just hope the body doesn't rust out on me before I can get it all done! lol

240 miles later I still do not have a single drip or seep!

I'm going to call this repair good.
