My Outback wheels! :D

Post by Hinano »

I've yet to see these on a 1st gen but here they are! The gold insert will match my yellow head lights! LOL nah. They weigh 18.2 pounds.

I picked them up for $160. My other option was the wrx wheels but my girlfriend and I thought these would look better. :)

Thinking about tires now. :)

I know the offset is different, I think 48mm or 43mm I can't remember. On stock suspension especially pre face since they are lower than post face I would watch for rubbage on the quarters and fenders. The stock offset is 55mm like the WRX,s.

Oh shoot. I just remember during my research that they should fit okay but yeah, I think the STI suspension will drop me around an inch also so.. Might need a little bit smaller tire?.. I'll look into it more.

I'm planning to paint mine all bronze! :D I think it'd look pretty good. Robertpaige has a thread on here about a wagon he used to own and I'm gonna paint my outback wheels that color.
I hope they fit well though because they're way wide!

Nice! So what are you going to do about all the chrome trim?? I was thinking of painting all the chrome trim and grill black, then painting the subaru star and "Legacy" emblems gold.

I actually ripped off the chrome trim! Haha. Some people dig it but I'm not a fan.
I like your idea on the emblems though. That's a good plan!
I custom did my grill and repainted it to match.

They should fit fine. I have the same size on my 94, H and R springs, no issues. Where you at, Hilo?

Yeah I think those will look pretty good....and do agree...better than the WRX wheels.

Post some pics when you get them on the car.

Hmmm. Don't think I do.
My car is in the driveway right now though. Hold on and I'll snap a photo. (My car isn't amazingly gorgeous or anything though. Haha.)

Here's a couple. Sorry, car is dirty and up on stands right now. I'm doing diy fender liners before I go to work. (I got too ambitious on a logging road.)

Sure!
Sorry I couldn't get a better shot. The poor thing has one wheel off right now and is stuck in a cramped driveway while I work on it:P

Hey josh, I am running the cheapo door seal lip up front. Its real dirty and gross right now but it works until I have time to fabric up something good. The rear is just a lip that I made from a 2nd gen lip. Its actually cut up into 2 pieces like rear spats.
