Maximum wheel/tire width?

Post by czei »

The THSCC will be running on an old NASCAR dirt track for the foreseeable future, and the gripe is amazing. Unlike gravel rally, the packed dirt rewards the maximum amount of rubber. I want to continue to use 15" for the low-end torque since the track isn't that fast, BUT would like to put on much wider wheels to up the amount of surface area.

So, what's the maximum wheel/tire width anyone's put on their Legacy?

If you're willing to modify the wheel arches, you can probably go a bit wider. You will have to look at the wheel offset though, otherwise the wheel/tire will rub against the strut.

Sorry I don't have any specifics for you. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
