(6) JBL 12's in my legacy..

Post by subawhatsubawho »

I got these speakers for pretty much next to nothing brand new in the box so just to kill some time I thought I would build a box to put them in....and then put it in my wagon.

Here is the begining stage...not much there.

Image

I had some free time today so I worked on the box a little more

I brought in my old speaker box and my kids found it quickly

I got the new box wired up

Check out how clos eI was to the 3rd brakelight. I totaly didn't measure and I got sooo lucky. I didn't measure to the light that is.

If I could go back and do it again I would have made it shorter. My wife saw me building it and thought the kids might enjoy something like it to put their toys in. GREEEAAATTT!

Wow. There goes your cargo room and ability to park in any slightly shady part of town. But I bet your stereo's rather loud. Where are your amps mounted?

nothing succeeds like overkill.
must suck to lose the one good thing about having a wagon, the carrying capacity.

I brought home my new wagon today so if I need to haul something I will just use it.

I am going to tint the windows something fierce pretty soon but untill then she will rest in the garage. She will also be treated to a custom box cover and an alarm. T

The amps are mounted on the back of the box behind the rear seats. I just drop the seats and there they are.

How many amps did you have running those things?

Nope...gonna sell it. I know I know. It was too much bass for the car and me...and my neighboirs...and the cops. Someone called them on me and they stopped me. Didn't get a ticket because I told him I was testing it. He also told me he wanted to check it out...so he did. I thought he was going to puke. It was at this point that I knew I would never be able to enjoy it to the fullest. I knew this building the beast but it is now a harsh reality.

It's in the parts shed. She is no longer in my car either as she is resting in my living room.

It was fun while it lasted...she will be missed. On the bright side I am taking the money I make from the sale and using it to fix-up my 91 BJ.
