New Owner - 1992 Legacy Turbo

Post by carlover2000 »

Hey there, last night I not only bought my first Legacy Turbo, but my first Subaru all together. It's a automatic, 198,000km, every electronic switch in the car works and the air blows cold. Drives great with no noises. There is rust on the rear wheel wells, but nothing that can't be fixed. I paid a massive $400 for it from my friend and can't be happier with it. I really hope to enjoy my ownership experience.

So fun little story… I bought this car from my good buddy in 2010 shortly after he made this post.

In 2011 the transmission went on it and I sold it to another friend who used the drivetrain for another car. The next day I picked up the identical car but with a STI turbo, injectors and a bunch of other goodies.

In 2012 the tranny went on that one. I happened to be working at a Subaru speciality shop at the time and ended up doing a complete version 6 JDM STI swap in it.

In 2014 due to rust I pulled the drivetrain and sent the body to get squished. I have regretted it ever since

Fast forward to 2022 last week I picked this up and am super exited to get to pulling a bit more power out of it and bringing my old friend back from the dead :)

Once I figure out how to post pictures from my phone I’ll be adding them. Have a surplus of all 3 cars
