What do you think of my wrap?

Post by legacylok »

I got this wrap awhile back for free and now I can't decide if I want to keep it, or back to a black car that needs some paint work.

What are your thoughts?

I like it. What i would change is the wheel color. Make it a dark one. And the dc, make that a gray. Then it would be sick. And a tint too. The gold just doesn't flow.

Yeah what is the cost? I have a big sheet large enough to cover the roof of a legacy in gloss black for sale but nobody wants it. Even at 25% less than I paid for it.

It costs about 3000 to 3500 for the material and application.

I got it for free because I know someone that teaches people to wrap vehicles and mine was the teaching car.

Florin1, I really like your idea. I just wonder what would be the best way to accomplish that. I wonder if paint sticks to vinyl?

I bet if you mask it of you can shoot it with a rattle can. I would totally do it. Than you can finish it off with clear coat if your wrap is shiny. If not, leave it flat. Do it! ;-)

so I picked up some paint from work today and painted a test piece of vinyl.

this is how it came out:

my taping job sucked but it gave me a good idea. If I could kinda feather the edges slightly it could add to the whole spray camo graffiti look.

What I would suggest doing is taping just inside of the edges of what you want to paint, and then remove the tape and spray the edges by hand to give you a feathered look. Or you could just free hand the whole thing. I'd suggest practicing the feathering on a piece of cardboard or something. It may take a little bit to get the right technique.
