Welp, had a bit of a setback. I really should have listened to you mike, haha.
A rod let go in pretty dramatic fashion last fall:

But a new short block is in, buttoned up and now fully tuned. Went up to a 2.5L and upgraded the fuel system to accommodate the extra cubes:

A really big shout-out is in order to Russ' Garage and Boosted Performance; none of this would have been possible without their efforts and continued support!

The first RallyX event of the year was sadly a bit of a wash due to conditions and I only got to test with about 500ft. of dry track in the middle of the course.
That little taste was very promising, though 8)

Made for some great photos in any case:

Oh no, that's just aweful. What do you think caused it?

Thanks! I can double check with the photog if someone would like to use them in that capacity, but as long as watermarks are intact I'm sure it'd be fine!

Not 100% but probably just metal fatigue, the #3 rod went in to 6 pieces... Was sent off to be x-rayed but no word back yet on that. I think it'd have been fine with those rods if they were fresh, but with so many cycles already on them given the age, it was a bad idea to reuse.

Photos are free to use if watermarks stay!

v.7 JDM scoop, N/A hood, aftermarket splitter:

Seems to work, too! IATs dropped a good 25-30 degrees.
Going to throw some vinyl on it for now but will eventually spend more time blending and smoothing it before a repaint with body color.

It's such a handful, now! I'm having to relearn quite a bit as so much about the car is new, but it's a great problem to have.

I am crazy Impressed in the build and it being put to use!! When they put the 2.5 in did they merge your harness with a STI harness??

Thanks! It's a JDM EJ205 harness and the original merged care of iWire. The JDM version was needed since the stock location of the SS ECU is on the opposite side of the cabin from the USDM WRX. I am using USDM EJ205 ECU and heads and an STi bottom end.

A few shots from the last local RallyCross event:

The Subaru Rally Team USA stopped by our event, and brought Chris Atkinson's Rallycross Car along!:
