My workplace threw some sponsor money into a race day put on by Olympia Drag Racing Assoc and I went to rep the company. I was the ONLY 4cyl car there. 95% of the cars were old muscle cars and most not even street legal.
I have a EJ22T swapped into my RX with a TD04 and fuel cut defender. 3in divorced DP to 3in catless all the way back. CAI with air box and WRX TMIC. Thats about it. Oh, also have a 95 Imp 5spd with a LSD rear diff.
I bought 5gal of 110 octane fuel for the races. The strip is only a 8th mi, which was good for me because my clutch slips bad at 16psi in 4th/5th gear.
They were running a pro light, which was tough for a noob (me).
My time slips...

First time drag racing, I think I did ok against the V8's. I can def improve my times, but I think I might speed up my project car build.
I have a 84 Subaru turbo coupe and another EJ22T. I plan on making it RWD, my original intention was to make a drifter. Now its going to be a drag car. I would love to get it in the 12's in the 1/4mi.
Some of the other cars there...

As long as you had fun, that's what matters
Yeah, I'd say most of those other cars are specifically setup for the strip.
