So I bought spinnyups 92 legacy last October or so, than I went and bought a 98sti type r for a parts car! Took the heads intake manifold, dccd trans, r180 rear diff, it even came with a really nice tomei turbo. I actually rebuilt the bottom end and bored out the cylinder walls for forged pistons. Used some manly h beam connecting rods and then built the engine in my basement. Carried it out In the garage once it started to warm up. Here’s a bunch of pictures from my journeyImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Looks good!

Are you still in the process of wiring in the ECU and getting it running?

Glad to finally see the outcome of this setup. Shes definitely putting down some good numbers. Beautiful build you have here man. How do you like those JE pistons you slapped inside the block?

Love those wheels! Nice car overall. The wisecos definitely slap a bit till they warm up, id have to warm up my car next to a JE built motor for a fair comparison though.

Yeah mine will be gettin all new interals reworked over this winter. I bet she's one hell of a fun ass car now with those power levels. I love these kinds of builds bc people dont usually expect an older subaru to just take off. Sounds like whichever brand pistons I go with, theyre gunna slap at me til they're warm. What kind of boost are you seeing? Right around 20lbs?

Actually I’m running a tomei m8625 and it’s only pushing 12 psi. I’m going to be finding some 1000cc injectors over the winter and than I can turn it up. My limiting factor was that I was using the 20k 480cc Injectors

Damn bro. Those are some badass numbers for 12psi. Do you know what your comp ratio was with those 98sti heads? Cant wait to see what itll do with 1000cc injectors.

I have yet to do a compression test, I was aiming for 8:7:1 but I really don’t know haha I know it works as I built my 91 almost the same

Those ej20k heads are nice for sure. Totally jealous of that setup man. Was it difficult to get the elite 1000 all wired up properly? Shes going to be a monster when you get it retuned again. Seeing this gives me tons of motivation to keep going

I can get you a lot of the stuff you can’t get in the USA up here in Canada, I just shipped a set of 20k heads down south and shipping wasn’t even that bad to be honest. I’m excited for this winter oddly enough. Can’t wait to see what she does next year

Yeah I hate how strict the states is with a lot of shit. I wanna move out pretty badly, it's not fun here lol. I would love a set of 20k heads but that'll be for the next project. Hoping my work starts to pick up here again soon, I would love to finish mine. Pretty sure when im done my comp ratio will be sitting right around stock after the 25d heads and .051 HGs.. Again just a beautiful build man

Well winters here and I haven’t been able to do anything but I’ve got a shit ton of parts I’ve collectedImageside feed to top feed 1000cc injectors with a new fprImageImageImage
And I’ve got a 24mm white line sway bar to throw in the rear along with some aluminum front control arms and 07 sti lateral links. Next summer is gonna be good

Did i read that correctly? Your injectors will go from side feed to top feed...meaning the injector itself plugs straight into the manifold with no adapter or do you still need adapters in the manifold?

Ive been looking around at different options for top feed injectors for P1 manifolds. So far the closest i can find is radium engineering. Which i might end up going with.

I actually used the radium injector adapters, I just finished the build and tuned it last weekend. She made 382whp at 20psi.

I really like that silver adapter plate you have. Guessing you made it? How'd you figure out the proper size? That silver piece has been my main complication on switching to top feed.

I actually gave everything to a machinist friend of mine and he made it. I could probably get another set made
