How many miles are on YOUR odometer?
Not how many miles are on your car(s), but on YOU.
How many miles have you driven in your life? Of course I understand that you haven't documented every single mile you've ever driven from the moment you got behind a wheel, but just make a rough estimate.
I've put roughly 60k miles on cars of my own, I've done about 20k of driving for work, and I'm just gonna tack on another 10k of driving other people's cars (driving with a permit, etc.)... So in my almost 6 years of driving, I estimate that I've done about 90k miles of driving.
What about you?

I got my permit in Oct. 2001.
Since then, I've put around 95,000 miles on my ass in my own cars. Plus whatever miles I have put on cars that aren't mine.

I'd guess that I've probably driven around 550-600k miles in my lifetime. I had a job where I averages around 150-200 miles a day, 5-6 days a week, for 8 years. I've driven coast to coast 4 times, I've driven from San Diego to Eugene multiple times. I commuted between Williamsport PA and Silver Springs MD for 9 months this past year too. I've lived in Montana, Idaho, Nor Cal, and So Cal, all the while driving back and forth to Oregon.

254,786 on Barbarella, ~147k by me. Total mileage I've driven is somewhere around 300k.

Chassis is just along for the ride. The engine and tranny do all the work.
If I called Subaru and told them I had a 90 legacy with a million miles on it, first thing they would want to know is if it had the original engine.
Any auto experts wanna chime in? If I was allowed on the USMB I would just get the link to the conversation.

hmm... I've driven about 6000 miles at my current job, put about 55,000 on my car, drove about 10,000 at my last job, and I'd say at least 10,000 in other vehicles.
I'll go with 80,000 miles. I've had my license for almost 7 years.

I dunno, after 200k+ miles, the chassis wears also. It's just as impressive to me, that the chassis can go that far, as it is that an engine can go that far.
I wouldn't call a car a new car if it's had it's engine replaced. It's still a 200k+ mile car... with a new engine.
I see it by the fact that the car's age is measured in years and miles, not hours or total RPM's on the engine. Just my view, it's probably different for everyone.

lets see, about 17k on sooby, 2k on limbatus, and i think 5k on the pissmobile. plus about 1k on other cars i've driven in the downtime. So around 25k. Not much for 5 years, but thats the advantage of having everythign you need within a few miles

Ive only put about 15k on my car. however, Ive driven it across the country a couple times. I just use my bike for commuting so much that my car sees use only for longer errands, snowboarding, and the occasional romp in the snow. I think Im going to keep it for a while tho, its got some sentimental value...

I still have the original engine with 246+ on it. Just needs an exhaust valve. Don't think I'll be bothering to put it back in, though.
