I'm curious to see the rest of your wagon.

How did you mount the fog lights? I have driving lights mounted in front of my grill and I did a really ghetto homemade aluminum bracket thing that attaches using the radiator mount bolts.

It looks like you care about seeing. If so, you should get rid of those headlight bulbs; they're actually pretty lousy. You'd do a lot better with a good set of quality bulbs.

yeah these bulbs really are lousy. When i don't have my fogs on all i can see is a little bit of blue light in front of me. Do u have any suggestions on better bulbs?

The easiest good bulbs to find are Sylvania Xtravisions. Look at your local auto parts store for a magenta package labeled 9003XV.

To offer more unsolicited advice, fog lights work a lot better if they're mounted closer to the ground. I don't know if you can figure out a way to mount these ones lower, since they're so big, but if you can they'll be much more useful. Even smaller fog lights mounted under the bumper would be more useful than these nice big ones mounted high.

Yea the reason why i didn't mount them lower is because i was worried about them getting broken and i wasn't sure how to mount them upside down under the bumper lip. If anyone has any suggestions let me know

Yeah, all I could suggest would be selling these lights and getting smaller ones. Someone with a WRX might give you good money for these, since they'd fit nicely in place of their stock ones but perform better.

Woah, you've got a trailer hitch with an aftermarket muffler! Is that the dual-tip muffler that's sold really cheaply on eBay? I've always thought that my muffler options would be really limited because of my trailer hitch.

yeah i got my hitch replaced because my old one rusted out. The new one had a much larger space for the muffler. I only have the hitch for carrying my bike rack if you were wondering. Its a dtm muffler with dual 3" tips. It actually makes my car sound like a wrx, thats the only reason i'm keeping it on right now.

Hmm, so your old hitch wouldn't fit the muffler? Was your old one a Draw-Tite by any chance? That's what I have.

But so's the one in the picture here... Or did U-Haul change their hitch design?

Uhaul has a lifetime warranty on their hitches. My old Uhaul hitch rusted out and they replaced it for free. Yes they did change their hitch design and it was to my advantage so that i could fit in the aftermarket muffler. The muffler is mounted as high as it can go without rubbing on the heat shield and it is secured by two muffler/pipe hangers, therefore it doesn't move at all. It leaves plenty of clearance between the muffler and the hitch. I bet you could even fit a ROUND aftermarket muffler between there too.

I"LL POST A CLOSEUP PIC OF IT

Cool, thank you.

It looks the bumper's been... erhm... "modified." Was that just heat from the muffler that melted it back, or did you do that yourself in order to clear the muffler?

Haha yeah when i first mounted the muffler it was mounted even with the bumper. It got hot and melted my bumper so yeah i just tried to sand it a little bit but its not been cut or modified. I got the muffler moved out farther, so now the tips are out past the bumper at least an inch or so.

Late to this party. I had my Hella 550's mounted in about the same position (slightly outboard) and they worked well. The best part is that they move daudlers out of the way. Are yours mounted through the bumper? How did you secure yours? With mine I made stanchions with rubber stoppers and long bolts mounted to the grille to adjust the vertical angle of the lights and keep them from bouncing. I also had washers as spacers between the bumper cover and bumper beam underneath. I had to remove the lights since the body shop removed them (against my request) and couldn't reattach them right and so they were floppig about. Eventually I'll get back to reattaching them better.

The slot in the bumper, just below the lights, is the hole in the bumper beam. You can drop the bumper, drill and mount a bracket to the bumper beam, and drop hang the lights that way off of a custom bracket.
