What should I have for dinner?

Post by legacycontinues »

Does anybody have a recipie they would like to share? I'm tired of making the same shit all the time.

I love chicken, beef and spicy food if this helps.

I have already "made" plenty of calls to Papa Johns and the likes.

Well, Laurel's easy go-to meal that I love is this:

Make up a batch of ramen noodles, without seasoning.

Grille a large boneless chicken breast, then slice into chunks. Stir fry some chopped brocoli, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, perhaps some diced onion, or some baby corn, etc. . . whatever you like in stirfry.

Once you've got all the veggies fried up a bit in some oil, add the cooked ramen noodles and brown them a bit with the veggies.

Take off heat, mix-in your grilled and sliced chicken, and serve.

I believe Laurel tosses-in some teriyaki and/or soy sauce, as well. When she gets home from work she can comment. . . unfortunately, it'll be a little late for you tonight.

I do stir fry once a week. Kinda tired of that too.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

hobo meals.

get ground hamburger
thinly sliced potatos
some onions maybe
salt and pepper
barbeque sauce or ketchup

preheat the oven to 350,

butter a piece of tinfoil, then drop chunks of hamburger and potatos and onions or whever else you decide. Season. Fold the foil over into a closed packet and place in the oven for about 40 mins or so, depending on your oven.

Come on people! We can stick engines in cars that never meant to have them. Put boost on cars that shouldn't have it. Off-road stock cars.....and the best yall can think up is stir fry and hobo meals.

Maybe I am asking the wrong people. Go get your wifes or mothers and ask them for some ideas.

Eel on the BBQ, clam chowder, bacon & scallops, pastitsio (I make a really lazy version of this with pasta, cheese, meat, and a little pizza sauce).

here ya go, I think El Paso (the company that makes taco shells and all that jazz) has an enchilada (butchered that spelling) "kit." It has the tortillas and the seasoning and all that good stuff, you just have to add chicken and cheese and toss it in the oven.

If you like chicken and you like spicy stuff, these things are amazing. plus they're easy to make. I give 'em two real big thumbs up! haha

How about a Quesidilla? Just get some black beans, sharp cheese, salsa, sour cream and put it between two tortillas and grill it like a grilled cheese.

Pot roast - Chunk-o-meat, carrots, onions, baby potatoes, celery, and V8. Put it in a slow cooker or whatever and wait.

California roll

Grilled cheese with tomato

Enchiladas

I make my own hot sauces with blended jalapenos and habaneros (the latter when I want to kill someone). I have a specially dedicated blender. You can marinate meat with it or use it as a sauce. I just experiment with stuff. I use stuff like mustard, BBQ starters, garlic, onion, olive oil, vinegar, worcestershire, etc.

 He said 'recipe' ...

I just throw stuff in the blender until I can't breathe too close to it even with the cover on. The sauces I usually make are thick, yet I use no corn syrup or anything as a thickening agent - it's all pepper, baby! My brother-in-law's the only other one I know man enough to try it. I made one that was just jalapenos, some other hot pepper I forget, and a couple habaneros with some salt, vinegar, and olive oil. Looked like guacamole and would've been fun to sabotage the unsuspecting who were looking for guacamole.

Kind of take a look at the ingredients of sauces you like and throw similar things together. I taste it as I go to see where to stop. Unfortunately, if I ever come up with anything really killer I'll never be able to duplicate it.

fine! maybe I will!

experimenting with recipes rules, it either comes out flippin awesome or like a decroded piece of crap. I like adding meat, garlic, onions, veggies, etc. to stuff like rice-a roni, jambalaya mix, ramen, etc. I can make one hell of a meal that takes one frying pan and costs about $3. $1.25 rice a roni, 3 cloves garlic, 1/4 cup onions, some green tabasco sauce, 3 italian sausages/precooked chicken/whatever cut up, some vegetable oil, whatever spices are at hand, saute the garlic/onions, grille the sausages and cut up, throw in rice a roni, brown it then start it boiling, throw the vegetables in @ around 10 min of boiling, simmer till rice is done. its also good to mix a little ranch dressing in there once its done.
