OK, doing the math ( given the 225/45/17 size)

Size......................... aspect.....Height........Width.........Circumference
215/45-17----96.75--- 3.809----24.6181-----8.4645-------77.34007
205/55-16---112.75-- 4.438----24.8779-----8.0708-------78.156
215/45-16---96.75---- 3.8090--23.6181------8.4645-------74.19848
225/50-16---112.5---- 4.4291--24.8582------8.8582-------78.09455
205/50-15---102.5---- 4.0354--23.0708------8.0708-------72.47926
195/60-15---117------ 4.6062--24.2125------7.6771-------76.06612
225/45-17---101.25---3.9862--24.9724------8.8582-------78.45323

I am running 205/55/16 on a 1 inch drop. Thus, any of these sizes are possible as long as you do not have a more severe drop.

I was contemplating getting some of these. What width wheel & offset do you have? What year is your legacy?

dScooby answered da question.

Please, no more "will it fit questions" without searching. I'm drunk, and perfectly willing to make an ass out of someone, including myself.

They will rub. You HAVE to roll your fenders ALL the way around, or you WILL rub on the edge. I've got 4 Nitto NT450's in 225/45/17 and 4 half rolled fenders that will prove this.

So quotable. If it wasn't for Scott saying he didn't like Vagina, and Steve saying that he wouldn't eat his own shit, I'd have this in my signature. Too funny.

i cant see what they would scrub on, i still have quite a bit of clearence left even with the drop.

ive had wheels on other cars that sat farther out and lower that only rubbed when going over train tracks at 60 mph so i dont think it will be a big deal.

i already tried rolling the fenders. i cracked the paint.

even though, im realizing that 18's as cheap as these are comming to me cost alot to put new tires on, that and thier big (obviously) and heavy nearing 20 for just the wheels. and since i really want the car to go fast more than i want it to look good i may go for light weight 16x7.5 or 16x8 with a 4pot brake kit.

um... you have to be able to drive around corners. To drive around corners you have to be able to turn your wheels. You also have the possiblity of rubbing on suspension when you go with a wider wheel. :)

That's why I haven't convinced Art that letting me borrow his prodrives during the summer is a good idea.

distance between suspension and wheel is static or at least it should be. the front is not a problem at all. i has more clearence than the back does

I have done it, you will rub the fenders.

Find out the hard way, and don't roll them all the way, or just roll them all the way and tread happy.

They don't look like they will rub on my car, but they rubbed on all 4 corners at full compression.

I'm just glad I only paid 80 bucks for all 4 of those tires.

Use a heat gun to prevent cracking.

225/45/16's will rub the suspension in the back, at least on my rims, Sti five spokes. You will also have to roll the fenders all the way, all the way around.
In the end I just bought some PNero Zeros in 205/50/16 and couldn't be more happy. I wouldn't have bought 225's but they came with my rims.
