I've just located a 91 Rio Red Turbo, Rustless Automatic for very cheap. Reason being, there's a transmission problem.
From what I've heard (Haven't seen the car yet) is that the car will Stall Instantly when Put in gear (D 3, 2, 1) when cold.
When Warmed up, the car will drive normally and shift perfectly
Haven't gotten any informaiton on highway driving.
Any Ideas right off the top of the Guru's heads?
Torque Converter Locking?
Duty C Solonoid?
Any help will be great,
I Did my searching but would like a few direct thoughts.
Cheers.

Well, all I can say is that I think you're probably on the right track... I don't know automatics but it seems to me that the torque converter locking up is the only thing that could cause it to stall like that.
Maybe Duty Solenoid C is sticking or something... It's plausible that flushing the fluid out could solve the problem.
