What the hell? Just do a full format and use the old HDDs for something else. What a waste of useful parts.

That's like replacing a Legacy VF11 turbo with a larger one, and then destroying the old turbo with a welder instead of selling it to a needy turbo-less Scooby owner. For shame. :)

Damn businesses' paranoia - I didn't even know this product existed. The big businesses get all the cool new computers first, and then when they get older they get upgraded. The computer guys get the old parts. Hand-me-downs. It is the natural order of things.

It came with a DVD burner, 3.2 GHZ AMD 64, 512 MB ram, Flat panel display, mouse, keyboard etc., all for the low price of 650 dollars USD. Not too shabby but we'll see I guess.
WTF? I didn't know you got a new computer! Man, left a brother out of the loop.

I just got a new PC about 2 months ago too. It's an HP Media Center. Athlon 64 3500+, 512 ram (for now) 200gb HD, DVD/CD burner with LightScribe, ATi Radeon 200 Express, PCI Express expansion slot ect.. I'm still on a CRT monitor but I hope to be getting a Samsung 20" LCD with 8ms refresh in a month or two. I can't remember the model # but it's a nice one.

I haven't been able to get my new PC on the net yet but hopefully soon. I need a router and I want to hardwire it, so I need to run CAT5 into my bedroom where the new PC is. I gave the old PC to my daughter.

Sorry, I'm bad at communications sometimes. :)

You should get the US robotics wireless package at your store, Radio Shack or better yet, Sam's. The same identical package you guys have is like ten bucks cheaper at Sam's. Anyway, get that and get a wireless PCI card. Then you don't have to sweat running all kinds of cable everywhere.

The new Acers are actually decent. They scored higher than Dell and Toshiba on a recent reliability survey.
