Q:Has anyone see this before Radiator weep?

Q:Has anyone see this before Radiator weep?

Ok here is the problem If you look in the near center of the pic where the hose for the radiator is you see a ring that is wet. there seems to be radiator coolent coming from her and I don't know is this in normal and would like to know if anyone here has had the same problem and if whats the fix and cost.

that's a bleeder valve.

Here's a fun tip, take that screw out plugging the valve (it's almost plastic with a philips indentation - of course it's already out in your situation)
give the engine a good rev and watch coolant spray everywhere.


Yes dude, you need that. No, it's not normal for the screw plugging that to be missing.

The fix is finding out what happened to the old screw that was plugging it, and putting it back in. I don't think you can get them individually, but you could probably improvise with a bolt of some sort...

Ok well I have had and coollent spraying all over while I had the hood up and engin running and no over heating (yet) so I am thinking the could still be in there of something is blocking it part way? Will get it looked at and i think i can get hold of someone to help me finds a way to fix it as i worked in a radiator shop for classic car at one time.

could be a run to a pick and pull we have that is set for subarus and other Japanese cars.

Don't worry, it'll start overheating as you blow too much coolant out of the valve. I don't know what more to tell you without being there.

Don't worry, it'll start overheating as you blow too much coolant out of the valve. I don't know what more to tell you without being there.

Right now its leaking but like very slow i can wipe it clean and it would be like nothing for a day and then a bit .

I'll get it looked at ASAP were not like driving tons of miles riht now but will keep and eye on it.

I just was looking at pics I took when I was looking at the wagon before I paided for it and well the screw was there in the pic(it is posted in the member photos area) and well could just droping hood down have knock the screw or compresssed it into the tank?

as I said I work in shop that made Radiator for classic car and all and I made top and bottem tanks for them so I know what it need just don't have anyway of fixing it the right way my self but i think I have a friend that could help.

Just let all know I found th part info the plug is the air plug and it is in two part (the plug and and an O ring) and should run around $12.68 plus tax.. the fun part will be driling out the old and or find out which want it unscewed to remove it it with the lease damage to the tank.
