all these are on the same bundle of wires. theirs three clips and 2 grounds. one of the clips seems to be a spade connector and one of the grounds is a square shape. 2 of teh clips actualy fit each other but i doubt thats how they go together. help me figure out what these plug into!!!
Will someone please tell me what this wire/clip is!!! *PICS

round one was figured out but now on to round two. these clips are missing their female partners and i have no idea where they may go. ive thought of everything to check but cant seem to find it. somehow i think they are dead ends as i spent some time under the dash of the legacy adn saw unconnected clips but these are in the engine bay so here it goes.

Looks to me like it's the plug that plugs into the ignition coil.

I went out and tried to follow the trail. But I buried the damn wiring under the manifold and I cant figure out where it goes! Sorry.
I will attempt again later.

Hmm, I was going to say cam angle sensor earlier because of the bracket on the one end looks like the one that the cam sensor, knock sensor ect.. is attached to and the one you pictured is on the cam sensor location of the bracket. But I didn't because I don't remember mine having the injector looking connector on the one end.

The bracket goes on the top of the bellhousing, below and behind the throttle body.

If these aren't off the intake harness, but the car harness, then I would say the square single wire goes to the starter, and the other 2 are to the brake master cylinder and the ABS sensor on that side.
If they're off the intake, then I have no idea....

That little black connector in the last pic kinda looks like the one that sits unused by the passenger side headlight. I think it's for the factory fogs or something. It's hard to tell if that's it or not though.
What part of the harness are you working with?

Dude, you made it really confusing by switching out the pictures on us. Why not just post the new pictures in another post?
What car is this harness for?
I can't access putfile from work; any chance you could be convinced to use Hardy's gallery?
Have you tried tracing these wires to see where they go?

i thought hardy's gallery was still down, well at least the last time i checked. these arent a part of the headlight harness or teh manifold harness. this one comes out of the fire wall.
the harness is a merged 1.8 impreza legacy harness. if that black one is un used i think i may have got it as since teh 2 can plug in together adn i have the master cylinder pluged into what may be the abs sensor i think thats it. but that black one is still unknown.

He has an installation of the new version of the gallery software.
I need more information than "merged." What was merged where? What ECU is it supposed to work with? What engine? What sensors? Who merged the harnesses?
What do you mean when you say a ground is in a square shape?

im actualy not sure where it was merged.
matt monson merged it.
ej22t motor with a ej18 5spd ran on a ej22t ecu.
im asuming all of the legacy sensors
just that . the ground is square in shape. usualy grounds are round as to fit under screws. this one uses a box shaped connector.
lastly the harness is missing a place to plug into the white connector on the boost control map sensor bundle on the passenger strut tower. i found it in a bundle of leftover wiring that matt sent back to me but im not sure as to where to find the connector on the harness inside of the car. the sensor its wired to is on the back of the bundle and not easily seen. ill have pics up tonight

Unless I am mistaken, that white connector you are worrying about is not needed. That's for the dropping resistor that resides behind the boost control stuff and is an auto tranny function and not needed since I converted it for 5spd application.
In case there is still any confusion for readers what is going on here is I took a complete Impreza L manual harness and a complete SS 4EAT harness and merged them so that Jason could put his EJ22T into his Impreza and run it like it is stock. All chassis connectors are Impreza, and all engine connectors are '94 EJ22T...

ok sweet, i realized how stupid thorwing away my ac stuff was because on the legacy there are electrical connections on some of teh ac bits, (namely the bit on the right hand strut tower) so i cant account for thoes yet.
ok so next question, the one that was thought to be for teh starter really is for the starter. only problem is that the legacy starter has bad contacts so i already installed the impreza starter. will the starter work or do i need the legacy starter.

the legacy auto starter will not work in a manual car. There should be no difference in the electrical connections for the two. Use the Impreza starter...

That's the black check connector I believe....not supposed to be connected to anything.
