Power Steering

Post by Carbix »

I just go the car and well i find that the power steering is a lil tuff. It almost feels like there is none. But i know there is and when im stop i can really tell that it still works. But over all i feel that there is a lot of force being put back. At least more then say my sunfire.

the legacy is a little less assisted than other cars, maybe just less than you are used to.
I for one LOVE the steering of my car.

If it didn't work at all you'd need two hands to turn the wheel when stopped and have to work it hard even when going.

yeah no i know it was working. But after turnning about 40deg' it would become more and more harder. So i looked at the dip stick and i found out it was low and boy was it. it took half a bottle to fill it back up. Now the one thing that im not sure about is that i got just normal fluid. Not the stuff it said on the cap. Is this bad it was steering fluid and good stuff?

You used power steering fluid?

I would think you'd be fine with that.

Mazda actually has quarts of fluid that are labeled as such: Mercon V Transmission and Power Steering Fluid...
