Two freaking parts = 1 nightmarish week delay

Post by Splinter »

So we're about 2/3rds of the way through my combination 4eat->5MT swap / oil leak repair and come across a little problem.

At approximately 4 oclock today, RS25 and I discover that
1. We're missing one clutch slave cylinder banjo bolt
2. The freaking new rear main seal got broken

We're an hours drive from the closest subaru dealership which closes at 5, Saltair is closed for the day, and not a single local auto parts store has either part.

So we're stuck. We've got the transmission sitting under the car waiting to go in, and we've both got to work all week, so we cant work on it. Subaru is closed tomorrow. I live out in the country away from the bus route.

This is freaking awful.

That sucks dude!

Been there.....all I can recommend is wait, get the parts, and do it right.
