Going to Iraq

Post by -K- »

Well that's pretty much it. I'm in the Army National Guard and just got the offical word today, we get activated Oct 12. We got some information about it a month ago so it wasn't a surprise. We are going to Ft Hood TX to train up and hit Iraq in March. I think it will be for a year.
I'm ok with going. :) I know it isn't going to be too much fun but that's part of the job. Hey, any good Iraq spec Subaru parts I should look for??? :D

Good luck K. We'll miss you while you're gone. Try to check in every once in a while if you can. You better get out to White City and get some runs in before you go! Props man.

Yeah I will. It's not as bad over there as the news looks, just as likely to get it by a drunk driver over here as a bullet over there.
If I get my FPR in I'll be at the track friday. And when I get back I'll have lots of money saved up that I can spend on the Legacy :D
I'll try to get on the internet and let you know how it's going from time to time.

I'm home for the weekend, been at the armory in Eugene about 2.5hrs from home. We've been packing all of our gear. On the 30th we head out for Ft Hood and then Iraq Feb-Mar. I got an offical email that I should be able to get over there. (don't know if I can get on legacycentral) so if anyone wants to say hi, drop me an email at
todd.krawczyk@us.army.mil
later, -k-
(I get called k a lot because people can't say my last name, so that's where -k- came from :D )

My grandfather's last name was Prztacznik (or something like that), but had to change it in the 30's to get a job (people just would skip his name as they couldn't pronounce it).

Good luck over there, man. Hope it isn't as bad as it seems. I wonder if they've got hot bellydancers still...
