well i pick it up on tuesday and i want it working the same day becuse a AUTO MATIC svx is killing me, nice car smooth at 240kms but i need to be in control.
ok the sti 6mt dccd that i am getting has no axle studs, what year modle factory subaru parts do i need to make this studless sti 6mt dccd work in my AKA 1991 legacy turbo, i want to use my factory 2 week old cv shafts work on this tranny, if anyone has the info please share becuse I CANT TAKE AUTOMATIC TRANNYS. thanks.

Put the clups on the stubs and put them in the trans. Use your stock axles (or if you need new axles, get them for a FWD Impreza, as they have thicker bars).
Might as well use new axle seals also. You don't need the lash adjusters (assuming your transmission came with them), so keep those stock. You need to remove the lash adjusters to replace the seals, so you need to mark the orientation of them with a sharpie, and count the turns to remove them. Replace one seal, and then thread it back in exactly the same number of turns (and keep the marks lined up when you bolt the "finger thing" back onto the case). Do this one side at a time. If the lash gets messed up, it's a pain in the ass to set it correctly again (you need the $300 tool).
The pair of circlips was $2.12 at the dealer. I'll be bastardizing my old five speed for the stubs.
