This is between the engine and tranny on the other side i couldn't get a pic, but i see a rusted bolt on the other side, well just the thread, but the bolt seems to be broken off, with the thread sitting in it, on this side with the pic it's just a hole with threads, but no bolt, think i should put a bolt in its place? Thanks

nope, that's an alignment stub. you should have two of them, one in the general area on the opposite side.

confirm, its a guide pin like mentioned above, and it might just not be that visible and could still be there.

Well on the other side there is something there, buto n this side its a empty hole.

The alignment pins can get rusted/stuck, and can come out. So that's probably what happened.

you can run one or not, doesnt really matter. there are big block v8 cars that only have 4 bolts on the bell housing.
