Knocking noise.

Post by ken_mag »

I was driving home last night on the highway, travelling at 75mph for
45 minutes, came to a stop light and noticed a knocking coming from
the engine compartment. Pulled into the garage, opened the engine
cover and the noise seemed to be coming from the driver side of the
engine. Then I called it the night.
This morning I started it up cold and was idling quietly as before, no
knocking. Let it idle for 10 minutes to warm up and the knocking
gradually started to appear again, getting louder as it warmed up, and
the knocking speed is consistant with RPM speed.
Didn't notice any powerloss. Idles smoothly except for the knock,
haven't checked for codes yet.
Oil(10w30) and filter change about 1k miles ago.

This is a 94 Legacy EJ22

Any thoughts?
