just finished 5mt swap, car runs like shit

Post by urabusturbo »

i just finished getting a 5 speed into my 92 ss and now the car s not running very well. I never drove the car prior to the swap so im not positive on what could be wrong. it seems to hammer just fine until the car warms up and then it retards the timing and wont rev quickly, but i can slowly climb the revs to redline. it gives cole # 13(cam angle) 22(knock sensor) 31 (throttle sensor )44(duty solenoid) and 45(atmoshperic pressure sensor). I have tried using my old ecu for a 94 5mt ss but it gives the same codes. the car only has 112k and it has been parked for over a year but it ran well when i got it with a blown automatic.

I was getting the same symptoms and codes, and it ended up just being my knock sensor...

A long extension on your socket should be able to reach it. Just don't over tighten the bolt and crack the plastic.
