Play in CV's?

Post by ericem »

Well I was doing my brakes yesterday. So i tryed to shake the rear axles up and down they are solid. But the front ones had excessive play more on the right side then left side on the differential end. Could this explain why I have such rough acceleration? I know the fronts are non-oem and over 100,000KM old. One of the rear axles are new(recently replaced) and the other one is OEM.

Are you talking about the shaft moving around?

Yeah they should be solid, and yes that could be causing you some issues.

Yes. Not in and out or turning play well there is turning play. But up and down play. Now im looking for some good CV's at a few yards.
