Now I've just got to find the hoses to connect my NA airbox to the inlet on the turbocharger, the outlet of the turbocharger to the AWIC, and the AWIC to the throttle body; easy as pie, right?

also need to figure out how I'm going to do recirc, get a recirc valve; also need to get a cherry picker/engine hoist and pull the engine, do the clutch, PP and flywheel, replace the driver side CV axle, swap the crossmember (I'm going to dread that) and then throw it all back together.

probably something I'll do on Christmas break...

Any protips?

The xmember isn't that bad... when you have the engine out, anyway.

well it's disassembling the steering rack and putting it back together properly that will be part of the pain - plus wrestling the x-member free of the lower control arms without taking the hub off of the ball joint.

I guess my biggest concern is the steering, I don't want to undo it and then fuck it up putting it back together and trash my tires in a thousand miles.

As long as you don't remove any tie rods/ends, and remove/re-install the rack as an entire unit, your alignment shouldn't change. But, considering how screwed up it was before this project, you should prolly have it done when you're finished :-D .

Removing the xmember w/o undoing anything else in the front suspension isn't that hard (i.e. easier than you're imagining).
