Drive Safe

Post by Laura »

I suppose this is going to sound like a woman thing to say, but I'm a woman and I guess somebody has to say it. I deliver car parts to Salem, Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon shops and in the last week, I have had to take parts for five different Subaru's! And it's not that a cart ran into it in the parking lot, these deliveries are taking a whole front end assembly or a quarter panel and door or something of the sort. I'm afraid people are thinking AWD/4WD means immune to accidents. So, my woman thing to say is DRIVE SAFE! One, it sucks for the people who are in the accident and I've heard some crazy stories, two, it's kind of embarrassing to walk into a shop and seeing three Subies all lined up in a row. I'm not trying to be rude, I seriously hope you (those who are getting into accidents) don't think too highly of your Subaru. They are an amazing car, remember not to take them for granted. :smt109 End Rant

That's good advice, and well-timed now that the heavy snow season is starting for so much of the board's membership.

I don't know - Vikash is pretty sweet.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Um, not where I work. If I knew anybody who got into as big of trouble as I've seen, accident wise, I would advise them to go buy a "new" car. Because parts are not cheap to buy from the after market warehouses OR the junk yard! And that's just going to the body shop. Then the body shop charges you even MORE for labor and whatnot. Nooooo thank you. I say just take care of your car in the first place.
