Arctic... I set up my google account as soon as my check hits the bank, I will send you the money.

Update, I have ordered some Rods from brian Crower rated up to about 600-625 hp depending who you talk to.
ALso last week end I tore down my transmission because it was leaking from... well everywhere. THis weekend I am reassbling the tranny.

All my parts will be ceramic coated by next week, and I go pick up my Powder coated intake manifold and wheels. If my rods are here by next weekend I will once again have my block together.

I made some headway yesterday. I resealed up my tranny. First time I have ever been in a tranny and they really arent hard, I was truly impressed. BUt it leaked like an (pick your favorite analogy here) so I tor it all down and put every thing not bearing or great related in the parts washer for ...about 3 hours. Any way the seal kit for the manual tranny is about 80 weakass american dollars which you use 7 seals out of. :?

Here is a pic:Image

Here is my fix for my throttle body/manifold interference. Doug used a spacer, I used a grinder. notice I also axed the coolant passage since I have to run the TB upside down on the ej20h manifold. Didn't want them sticking up like devil horns and get in the way. And I have never had a problem with the throttle plate sticking in cold, and it gets cold here. Last ime I drove the car I saw -35* mornings (before windchill).
Image

And a picture from the top of my porting job on my throttle body. I can clean some more of it up and will finish that when I get my manifold back tuesday!!
Image

I am going to contact Stromung to see if they can use my flange and adapt it to there down pipe so it works with my vf37.

^^ holy shit bat man, i am not the only nut out there with a upside down TB lol

bmxpunk good job, you got it right shave that off and point the coolent lines down.

one more thing make sure you put the plug on first for the TB sensor, then bolt it up. also you need to clip the one side of the TB, where the screw meets the manifold, its the 2 screws to TB sensor. chop the extra metal right to the screw like on a 45 deg.

i get you pics so you know what i am trying to tell you.

awesome thanks NIco. I know what you are talking about, but it would be good to see it in a pic to affirm it in my mind. I was actually thinking how I could do that this weekend.

Anyone have a 20G service manual so I know exactly what voltage I need to have this TPS set at?

one more thing, bend the tabs where it holds the cables wire in place in the half moon things. bend them stright up or cut them off.

i be back with pics in a sec hang tight.

THe 22t and the 20G throttle bodies are the same, from what I have been told and seen in pictures. So the tps should be the same. I am using a 20G sti ecu with my 22t sensors as they should be the same.

o ok i gotcha, so i wonder if you need to swap a pin or two for wireing. this i dont know, i just used the 22t sensor.

ok this is the tabs you need to bend up both i just did one becuse its late and i wanted to show you so you get it right, or cut them right off like i will do tommorow.

Image

you bent these coolent pipes down
Image

then you did the grind part on this thing perfect like what i did.
Image

the next step i cant type it all out becuse i wont make sensor but you know what i am talking about.

if you want type it out for me so other pepole know and understand lol.

cut it on 45 close

I had some fun with WRX EJ20G & ej22t t-bodys, sensor-wise they are the same but the EJ20G ('95WRX) t-body is bigger (silicone connector had to be oiled & plastic hammered onto the 20g t-body while it slid right on the 22t t-body with no probs).

Picked up my intake manifold today, get wheels tomorrow.

I decided against red cause well, I wanted something different.

Should look ok with my black turbo inlet and Black ceramic turbo housings. Yes this is my moment of rice.

Now I need a 20K/H IAC and the associated piping. Working on injectors and fuel rails this weekend apparently.

White wheels too eh? (noticed them in the background)

BTW, to be different, you should have gone with STi pink (mix of the standard red & the white you chose).

Thanks guys!

Ha actually... those are my friends white wheels off of a 2.5i. I have some 15" wheels that I stick gravel tires on that will be white, but my RS wheels are a bronze (which is more the same than different, i think. but its a good looking color.

here are mine

Image

here is the white for my friend

Image

Here is the kicker... I did a lot of business with this guy during my cars first incarnation. Granted he had the wheels for a while (i have nothing to put them on till my car is done) He charged me less than $200 for all 4 wheels and the manifold. And he does a great job... its just at his own pace

Lucky me, I have a full powder coating setup in my garage. My buddy & I split the initial cost & then he moved to GA with his wife who's in the Army. So I got left with all the equipment & powders.

Well maybe I am only only one on the planet, but I can never get rallispec to help me. Never heard back from them after an email and a phone call.
I figured I would by things from them sice they back Matt Johnson in Rally America, since i think the guy has talent but whatever.

Anyone have any other ideas where to get headgaskets? Looking for something like a Cometic... would really like the CObb ones but at 300 a pair... ouch

Oh and my prodrive steering wheel should be here this week!!!

Stock thickness for now. I had my pistons designed arounrd the stock thickness for a compression ratio of 8.5:1. THe thin headgasket would bring me close to 9.0:1 which I would really like to run for off boost response and milage, but I am using the japanese STI ecu which my or may not be tuned too agressively for our fuel (since wyo only has 91 octane, and no E85 availible here)
