Well I might be upgrading my intercooler once the weather gets warmer (I hate modding cars in the cold!!) and when I do, I'll put this Sti up for sale.

You might be able have that intercooler afterall:)

I used to be in school.....been out for a little over a year and half.

I miss the eye candy everywhere.....but I certainly don't miss the crazy amounts of work & studying that consumed almost all my waking moments.......

Plus I actually have a little money to spend....:)

I bought two BC's during college (totalled the first one). There's so many students with BC's because of BANG FOR THE BUCK.

where does everyone go to school? I for one go to the University of Washington. Whats weird, is that I have never once seen another Legacy Turbo in Seattle, while down in Portland (where I am from), I have seen at *least* 15 different ones. Very strange indeed.

I went to the University of Colorado Boulder. There was TONS of eye candy there. I graduated in 2000, roughly two and a half years ago...DAMN. I definitely enjoy not having to worry about a bunch of homework/tests/papers when I get home at night, though money is a little short nowadays. Oh well.

Boost Junkie: GO TERPS! (class of '01) Score was 108 to 58 last night and I got to watch from second row mid court.

Were you the one with a white turbo sedan with a roof rack? I remember seeing that car regularly on campus a few years ago.

I'm a student at Oregon State. I have only seen one Turbo in Bend, Or. Some chick was driving it and it looked like it was falling apart. I wanted to car jack her and trade. I will look in Portland this weekend.

. . . NOW I have to worry about all those student loans:(

My money situation is better now.....but yes I have moocho loans.....probably in excess of $25k if I remember correctly. You know it's bad when you don't even know how much money you've borrowed to go to school....I just figured out what I needed to survive for that year and got the loan or worked.....soo I'll be payin on those loans for a while.....plus I'd like to get a house or something......I'm sick of the apt gig.....no room....no place to do work on things.....it sucks.

Oh and I went to Penn State, Mechanical Engineering '01. I'm originally from Seattle area though. Since I've been out, I lived in Memphis for a little while and now I'm in Houston......I move too much huh ;)

For you Mech Eng. guys in school....you know what's funny......I went into mech engineering for several reasons....mainly because I'm rather mechanically inclined, liked to see how stuff works, etc. I really don't do squat for what I went to school for, or do anything related to why I originally chose that degree. Plus half way through the program I was debating on changing to some sort of IS degree because I hated my classes and had picked up quite a bit of interest & skill in computers. But I stuck with the Eng degree, and am very happy I did. I use the computer thing more as an ace in the hole...which it has definitely come in handy and been beneficial in my career/job.

The group I'm in now....I use more of my computer skills then I do my mech eng stuff......but it was good learning experience......Engineering is definitely not an easy curriculum, but it will pay off....trust me ;)

I hear that. The only place for me to do work in Baltimore is in a parking lot behind my office building. I wear work gloves to avoid getting broken glass in my hands and I keep an eye out for needles! But a friend of mine went an opposite route - he got his house built for him complete with a 2-car garage that has a 6-foot deep oil pit for working under the car and air compressor lines built into the walls  I'm jealous!

PS - I was MechE for freshman year before switching to EE... just one more gear head.

You got it man!! Too bad they didn't really get good till we left:( You know if I can still use my student ID to get free tickets?

Nope, I'm not the sedan with the roofrack, but I used to drive around with a white 97 GT . . . I would always park near the Kinesiology Building.

Hey, I'm up in Baltimore usually once a week (on the weekends). Not sure about this weekend but we should meet up!!

Boostjunkie:
What color is your car, then?

You can't get student tickets with your ID anymore (damnit!) they've got a whole online ticketing system that prevents that this year. Even if you did get your hands on a student ticket, they will scan your ID at the door to the Center and see that you aren't registered. But, you can still buy general public tickets (by scalping, ebay, or when student's don't pick up their full allotment) which I've been doing while the students are away for break. That gets you into the arena........

Yeah, man. We should meet up some time. My rallybeater is non-turbo, with more disfunction than mods, but I'd like to check out all the stuff you've done. Actually, I see a few other MDers on the list. Maybe we should have a little meet-up.

EJ20impreza? Harford County, MD?
KenShiro? Mitchellville, MD? (I don't even know where that is)

Man, that totally sucks about the computerized tracking of registration!! Friggen computers!!!! (as I type on this wonderful computer that allows me access to the Subaru boards  )

Anyways, my car is pearl white, and my old GT was white too . . . come to think about it, I had a 90 legacy lsi before this, and that was . . . . *drum roll* . . . WHITE!! I guess it's fate, huh

Yeah, a legacy meet would be cool!! I know the wrx/impreza guys have meets, but I always feel like the ugly ducking there :( I know of a few guys that own BG legs . . . lucien (Baltimore), Ken (Silver Spring), and Brad (Gaithersburg). I think Mitchellsville is close to Oxon Hill . . . around the Beltway from me (495).
