IACV External to TB

Post by 94SS_Canada »

Okay so im having some wiring problems with my swap

Everything was going well until this IACV thing,

On the 2.2 intake manifold it has an External iacv

on the 2.5 Throttle bdy it has one intgrated into the Throttle body...

No biggy right? wrong

The 2.2 harness uses a three plug connecter and the 2.5 uses a 6 plug connecter, it would be a miracle of three of those wires were grounds.

So what am i to do, any helpful info out there?

The newer IAC valves use a stepper motor vs. a varying solenoid. I don't know what ECU you're planning to run, if it's the stock turbo legacy ECU, you won't be able to control the stepper motor on the newer intake manifold.

Most stand alones can control the stepper motors though, you just have to add the extra wires going back to the ECU.
