Hesitation?

Post by race_to_live »

I have a 91 legacy turbo and there is a huge hesitation from idle to about 3200. then a bit at around 4500 it idles kinda of rough. the timing belt is not off. the tach jumps a little. i konw the possiblity of the crank sensor, and cam sensor. i also just put new plugs and wires in it. Im thinking that the coil is shot. but im not sure, i don't konw if there are any other things that could be wrong.
Please help.

I would start with grounding points including the battery to block, the knock sensor and O2 sensor directly to the block with a wire having 5/16" ring terminals on the knock sensor and an alligator clip or hose clamp on the body of the O2 sensor.

Might also want to check the connectors for the coils for corrosion and a good ground.

Dow Corning #4 electrical compound (non-hardening) is your friend.
