So I am confused, here is my problem:
So i read that wrx/sti cat backs are to long and you need to lengthen it.
Then I read that with a stock cat-back an aftermarket dp makes the cat back to short?
So exluding the hangers if one buys aftermarket cat back and a aftermarket dp. What modifications are needed?

Sorry first post is just kicking the dead(exhaust) horse.

What kind of cat-back are you looking at buying?
I know with my setup im running a hks dp and a 5ziegen catback, with this set up i just had to have a single hanger fabbed for the can, and one for the dp to mount to the tranny.

Looking far and wide for that perfect post-facelift SS.
hey dude i was a little confused when i first wanted to do my exhaust. What i ended up doing was going to a muffler shop and told them i wanted 3" turbo back, they said no problem. I already had a 3" down pipe and a stromung dual tip. one of these days when i get the time ill post a video. Now i have 3" turbo back to the stromung and it sounds awesome. I left on cat on just incase for smog but once i pass im taking it off or getting a high flow.

With my set it was made for a GDA WRX (2002-2003) but any of the new wrxs besides the 08s should fit with a little modification to hangersI I believe that the BC legacy's are a few inches longer than the wrxs as well it may tuck up under neath the bumper.

You got it backwards, the WRX/STi axle back needs to be lengthened. In addition the one hanger needs to be repositioned or bent to fit.
