Does anyone know if the header from a 22B would fit on an EJ22?

What, $1700 isn't cheap enough? Seriously though, I wonder if
fabricating the up and down pipes for my EJ22 would be easier than
tracking down and installing an EJ22T. I'm not looking for drag
strip power, just a touring car that I can race the occassional M3
with *veg*

I don't think it would as it is a double over head cam. Just like the 2L.

I have the up and down pipes for the EJ22 that I want to sell along
with a IHI turbo from a Loyale that will provide enough boost for a
N/A engine. All that you will be able to run is about 8lbs max with
the high comp engine. e-mail me if you want a picture of the setup.

There is a good chance the 22B header will work since the engines are brothers.

There is a chance it will not work if the head ports are spaced differently or if the bolt pattern is not the same. If you go for it please let us know.

However, this is if we are talking about the two turbo engines. If we are talking about an EJ22 normally aspirated engine, the chances of a fit decrease a little more.

In any case, almost all knowledgeable impartial sources advise that the exhaust manifold is a long way from being the "bottleneck" in your induction system, even if turbocharged, so swapping it for headers is money that would be better spent somewhere else, because you will notice minimal if any performance gains, and could actually experience a performance loss. You really have to be pumping out a lot of horsepower, and already be into some major engine mods, before changing out the stock exhaust manifold becomes the place to find power gains. This is a whole different subject from changing the restrictive exhaust system from the turbo back, which is a good place to improve your system.

My Legacy is N/A, and while I know that an engine swap is, hands
down, the best place to start with tuning the car, from what I know
about such a process, it's beyond me both money-wise and facility-
wise. What I had been planning on doing was adding a turbo to my
current engine. Exhaust-wise, I had been considering using the MRT
full exhaust system. I suppose if I added a turbo to that, I could
get the custom up and down pipes to add to the system (MRT's system
for the Legacies is header, cat, center pipe, and muffler). Aside
from the exhaust system, I'd be adding a cold air induction system
and the usual pulley and flywheel mods.

What kind of price and are you selling the complete
