How to disabl

Post by FREDERICK.WHITMORE@CN.CA »

I know there must be a switch under the dash but I haven't actually seen it.
My switch was disabled when I bought the car. But it was accidentally enabled
by the mechanic that installed my boost gauge! It freaked me out! We
couldn't figure out why the car wouldn't start after the installation. I
thought he blew something on my car!!!! He was scared too! He asked me
"don't u have to press down ur clutch to start ur car?". I said with complete
confidence NO!!! After arguing about this back and forth he said "try it
anyways" and just to show him that I know my own car and he's grasping at
straws I try it. And of course the stupid car started and made me look like a
fool!!!! By the time the car started I was late for work so we just left it
the way it is now enabled!

Subject: [BC-BFLegacyWorks] How to disable clutch pedal switch to start the car?

>From my experience, only USDM cars with M/T require stepping on the
clutch to start the car. I do not like this. Has anybody disabled
the switch behind the clutch pedal? I haven't had a chance to look
under the dash yet.
