Higher compression, smaller hot-side turbo and lower boost pressure?

I thought it was a 35mm restrictor on a Turbo pushing all the boost it could that led to the low HP high TQ.

BUT it could be the t-bird mod!

This is what I am thinking too.....my brother was saying this too after watching a few WRC videos of the Rothman's Legacy. It sounds so damned mean! There is no way without bumping the compression WAY up for you to get that sound. Check this out, then try to show me a street driven Subaru that has this race lope without ultra high compression. Sure, you can get the power without the compression by using high boost, but this sounds so much better.
