I couldn't find any 6 months ago so I ended up getting some cometics.

Felpro still makes MLS gaskets for the 22T, but I don't know if they're the same quality as OEM, I've never really looked into it.

I got my Felpro's at Autozone, they were special order, which took 3 days. My friend who worked at a Subaru dealership said they never saw anyone with these aftermarket gaskets come in blown. Course someone could easily fail to follow the torquing procedures...

I think they were under $50 when dealership is almost 2x that, we're talking ej22t ones here.

edit: link
Autozone - $22.99 each. MLS gaskets.

The OEM 22T gaskets are plenty strong up to whatever you plan on making power wise.

Derek blew his when he overboosted to over 35 psi from GT3076R. Rather, the Zeitronix maxed out at 35 psi, so we don't really know what it actually hit in terms of pressure. 28 psi from my turbo and they worked just fine.

The OLD gaskets were, but sometime between 12-24 months ago subaru superseeded the old MLS gaskets to a standard graphite gasket.

Those were graphite gaskets. I also used the graphite gaskets in mine, since that's what came in both of my engine seal kits. All the 22T's I've taken apart had graphite gaskets in them.

I'm not sure what the 1.8 came with though.
